In September of 2007, I contracted with Rick Nguyen Landscaping to completely re-do my entire property, At nearly 1/3 of an acre it was a big job. Rick did an excellent job of design and implementation, His crew removed a two ton truck load of existing greenery and replaced them with +/- 200 new plants, trees and field stones. He also designed and installed an 80 foot long rock retaining wall in addition to a complete refurbishing of my sprinklers and low voltage lighting system. Rick and his crew are clean, courteous and professional. As with any contractor, detailed communications are key. I clearly set forth my expectations and kept them in a meticulous writing. My wife and I recently contacted with Rick’s Landscaping & Masonry to replace our asphalt driveway with concrete pavers. It was a large, approximately 5400 sq. ft, project with a very sophisticated layout on a steep grade. We had a number of outside bids. After inspecting various job sites and conversation with each bidder, we chose Rick’s to do the work. As I am a builder of high end desert homes, I am familiar with the task at hand. From the bidding process to the demo, prep work and final product, Rick’s did not miss a beat. The crew was diligent, creative and attentive to detail. They also, unlike most contractors, were careful to leave the job site clean each and every day. My wife and I are very pleased with the completed project and because of the quality of work done awarded additional contracts to Rick’s for other projects on our property.

Rick Landscaping did an excellent job in redoing our front and back yard We’ve received many compliments on our yard. His team worked very hard on our project and were always on time. We had large roots cuts, the trees trimmed, new grass, sprinklers, a new walkway, and new plants put in. Rick suggested plants that would be best for our yard. His team power washed, removed debris and cleaned up everyday. We felt his pricing was very fair for that work that was being done. Since then Rick has come back and helped me with smaller projects and has only charged a nominal fee. We are very happy with the results and we would recommend Rick’s Landscaping.

I needed a complete revamping of my sprinkler system so I gave Rick a call. We set an appointment and Rick was on time. We negotiated a deal that day and he had his technicians at my home the following day. They were on time and stayed until the job was done. They did a perfect job and completely cleaned up ater they finished. I’m very very happy w/ the work they did so I signed up with Rick to complete some long overdue landscraping in my backyard for another job. I would highly recommend Rick if you want a landscaping / sprinkler job done correctly. He knows what he is doing and is very professional. He gets 5++++ stars from me.

This was our first time using Rick’s services to landscape our backyard and we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Rick, replaced a wooden deck, at my home, with a stone and brick patio. It was large…16 x 44 feet. My requirements were a high-quality patio–that would last a life-time, that matched existing stone and brickwork on my property–this was not an easy task. Also, I told Rick, once you start, you need to work until the job is “completed”. Rick, worked with me on the design, specs, and statement-of-work (SOW) to ensure a excellent job. Rick, was a man of his word, he did everything I asked…and more. The project came out perfect. Many people have told me it looks super. A great job.

Rick’s Landscape was contracted to put in the hardscape, landscape and irrigation for a two house project on Tennyson, Old Palo Alto. He responded by coming out the day after for our first meeting on Monday, within two days after hes was able to get back to me with a quick quote on our project. Pricing was reasonable and he had good references. We had two other bids, but went with Rick given his professionalism, promptness, and attention to detail!. The total project proposal was approx. $70k, which was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. I’m extremely happy with Rick and his team. The hardscape and landscape help sell the house and the team was very efficient. They always kept the job site clean and safe while under construction. I highly recommend Rick and his team for there great quality work and prices. Certainly looking forward to working with his company for my next project.

We had certain requirements for a backyard layout, so designing around them wasn’t so obvious. At least talking to several landscapers didn’t bring a suitable result. Rick offered relatively simple but elegant design. He spent hours attending all the questions/concerns and discussing all the options. He spent time listening to his potential customers even before he knew he’d be chosen to do the work. When we started the project, his team was at the site by 8 AM every day, if not earlier, and would work later than 5 PM. For weekend breaks they not only moved all the equipment away from main foot traffic, but actually swept the area, leaving it nice and clean for the weekend. Rick also seems to know his way around the suppliers and tries to get a better price on customer paid materials whenever it’s possible.

Rick has done various projects on our property and has always been professional, thorough, quick, reliable and the outcome of the projects has been beautiful. Our projects included stamped concrete work, new grass installation, irrigation, building a gazebo and play structure. Make sure you have a very detailed list or scope of work of what you will like because, as with most contractors, the extra’s always end up being more expensive than if they were included in the original quote.
